The Sinai Scuba Diving Center organizes half day or full day diving trips to the Ras Mohamed national park by car. The National Park Ras Mohamed lies where the Gulf of Suez meets the Gulf of Aqaba at Sinai's southern extremity.

Declared in 1983 with an area of 97 km², it has since grown to an area of 480 km² and includes marine and terrestrial areas at the Ras Mohamed Peninsula and the island of Tiran, and all shorelines between the main Sharm el Sheikh Harbor and the southern boundary of the Nabq protected area. The park is notable of its sharply defined raised fossil coral platforms 15.000 till 2 million years old. The more resent fossil reefs show similar species and structures as present today.
The arid desert terrain of sand dunes, gravel plains, fossilized corals and granite mountains is home to a number of rare mammal species: Dorcas gazelle, Nubian ibex and red fox. Easier to spot are the resident birds like terns, herons, gulls and ospreys. Thousands of white storks pass through Ras Mohammed each year, heading south during September/October and back north during April/May. The park has about 85 species of flora, including mangroves.

As well as visiting the amazing dive sites, we will also visit the Mangroves, the hidden lake, the salt lake and the crack and we will climb up to the cliff of Sharks Observatory to have a nice overview of the whole Ras Mohamed peninsula.
The Divesites:
Anemone City, an easy access from the beach brings you to a nice anemone garden with loads of anemones, clownfish and damsels.
Shark's Observatory is entered and exited via a cave big enough for one diver at a time, out on to a very pleasant wall dive with nice big gorgonian fans, plenty of anthia’s, lion and scorpion fish and sometimes turtle.
Eel Garden has a large sandy bottom with many garden eels and a coral garden with many great photo opportunities.
Marsa Ghozlani, has a nice and pleasant entry from the beach. There are three different dive sites in the bay that all offer a wide range of corals and reef fish.
There is nowhere to get water or spare parts if you dive Ras Mohammed by land, so be advised take everything you need for the day. For shore access to the dive sites, we recommend using open-heel fins with boots, these may be hired from the diving center if required.
