The biggest and most important city of the Red Sea, Sharm el Sheikh, lies at the southern flank of the Peninsula, where the two gulfs of Aqaba and Suez meet with the Red Sea.
If you travel to Sharm el Sheikh or you want to visit the Sinai Peninsula, make sure to take your dive certification with you if you are a qualified diver and expect your Scuba Diving travel to be an adventure rather than a holiday or learn scuba diving in this warm water with easy access to the sea by boat or shore .
If you are in Sharm El Sheikh you can make shore dives. A shore dive is ideal for the diver with limited time who may not wish to spend a whole day out on the boat. One or two dives can be enjoyed in a morning or an afternoon.
There are some great dive sites accessible by land in Sharm el Sheikh

Shark’s Bay is the ideal place for a scuba review or check- dive because it has a nice sandy bottom leading to two great dive sites. Also ideal if you want to bring your family along for some snorkeling and relaxing on the beach.
Ras Umm Sid is a very nice wall dive with a forest of gorgonian fans leading on to a colorful soft and hard coral garden. Lots of pelagic fish hang around on the corner to feed on the many reef fishes. Ras Umm Sid is a very colorful dive that leaves a smile on your face.
